🚴 Boston to NYC — Our Inaugural Ride On May 9th, 2026, a group of college students will clip in at Babson College and won't stop pedaling until they reach Central Park, NYC. No support vehicle. No shortcuts. Just bikes, open road, and a story you'll be telling for years. 🗺️ The Route — ~400 km / ~250 mi across 4 states: - Day 1 (May 9): Babson → Providence, RI (~85 km / 50 mi) - Day 2 (May 10): Providence → Hartford, CT (~105 km / 65 mi) - Day 3 (May 11): Hartford → Bridgeport, CT (~90 km / 55 mi) - Day 4 (May 12): Bridgeport → New York City (~90 km / 55 mi) - Day 5 (May 13): NYC day - Day 6 (May 14): Return to Boston (by bus) 👤 Who's this for? People who are physically fit, have minimal cycling experience, and can handle ~100 km/day for 4 consecutive days. Not professionals, just honest people who love a challenge. Not sure if you're ready? Talk to us before April 30. 🚫 This ride is NOT for you if: - You haven't ridden a bike in many years and want to "just try it" - You've never ridden more than 50 km (30 miles) in a single day - You're not ready to push through soreness, fatigue, and the occasional terrible hill * Not sure if you're ready? Talk to us. We'd rather have that conversation now than see someone struggle on Day 2. 🚲 Bike Requirements: - Any bike in good mechanical condition — recently serviced, no broken parts, no worn-out tires Preferably 27" or 29" wheel size (road, gravel, or hybrid) - Your bike should be able to sustain several consecutive days of riding without issues * Are you really interested but don't have a bike yet? Talk to us, and we can try to figure something out! 🏨 Accommodation: Community hosting (Warmshowers) where possible, budget motels/hostels/B&Bs as backup. 💰 Estimated cost: This isn't a luxury trip. We're trying to keep costs as low as possible. You'll sleep in real beds (we hope), eat real food (we hope), and wake up and do it again the next day. The best stories are built this way! We estimate $500 total per person (accommodation, food, return bus). We're seeking sponsorships and hosts to bring this down. ❓ Questions?
